FILM RELEASE
DATES
Savage Dog Films' two most recent
films, SERAPHIM and MANIA will face some tough release
competition.
San Diego, California - May 6, 2006.
October 2006 will be a good month for Savage Dog Film &
Digitals Ltd., at least in terms of the amount of films being
released in that month.
Both Vanessa Mason's mystery thriller,
MANIA and Lennie Overgaard & Christoffer Rosander's big
action/horror flick SERAPHIM will see the light of day in
October, but they will have to compete with some big names on
their respective release dates.
MANIA will be released on Tuesday,
October 31st 2006 - Halloween - but other horror films to be
released on that day includes CRAZY EIGHTS starring Traci
Lords and Dina Meyer, EVIL BEHIND YOU, CREEPY MOVIE, THREADING
OVER DARK and Sony Pictures' third part in a franchise I'LL
ALWAYS KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER starring Michael Abbate,
K.C. Clyde and Ben Easter.
SERAPHIM is up for some harder
competition. Slated for release on Friday, October 13th 2006
puts them up against such films as SUNSHINE, directed by Danny
Boyle, written by Alex Garland and starring Chris Evans
(FANTASTIC FOUR, CELLULAR) and Cillian Murphy (RED EYE). Also
being released is Sofia Coppola's $40,000,000 flick starring
such names as Kirsten Dunst (SPIDER-MAN 1+2), Jason
Schwartzmann (THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY,
BEWITCHED), Rip Torn (MEN IN BLACK 1+2) and Asia Argento (xXx,
LAND OF THE DEAD). But the most notable competitor will be
Sony Pictures' sequel to the 2004 $39,000,000 blockbuster hit,
THE GRUDGE.
